Injection Control Valve

Design characteristics:                                                                       INJECTION CONTROL VALVE
To provide an optimal atomization, AIVG water injection
valves have a number of outlet connections depending
on the maximum flow. Therefore, the total amount of flow
is injected in a number of cooler units. Each outlet is
connected to one cooler unit only. 

The overall advantage is that for 0-100% flow the relative
velocity between the steam molecules and the water
droplets remains high . Only one cooler unit designed for
100% flow can not achieve an adequate relative velocity
for reduced flow quantity. 

With the opening of the valve only one cooler unit is
necessary to reduce the steam temperature to the
required level. At the predefined opening level a second,
third or forth cooler unit is connected.

· pressure drop in stages

Water injection control valves have the application to control the temperature of the steam. In fact they are quantity regulation valves to provide the exact amount of water necessary to achieve the desired temperature drop. Due to the fact that the consumption can vary quite heavily, AIVG design allows substantial pressure fluctuations with a constant inlet pressure. A customized control curve provides a solution to retain a linear flow line.
